Some of the new material is accessible through Nintendo’s subscription-linked music service, while the apparel depends on regional retail availability.
My Nintendo News reports that the latest Mario Kart World Nintendo Music update adds four Free Roam tracks from Super Mario Sunshine and ten from Super Mario Odyssey. At the same time, Nintendo Life reports that Uniqlo’s Mario Kart World shirts are now available in Europe and are coming to North America “soon,” after the range was first announced for Japan earlier in the summer.
That makes this less a single merch beat than a picture of how Nintendo is extending Mario Kart World beyond the console. The game remains a Nintendo Switch 2 release, but the current fan-facing activity is happening through a mobile and browser music service, plus a mass-market apparel line. For a racing game whose identity is now tied to open space, Free Roam, and broad character appeal, the side channels are doing a lot of brand work.
Super Mario Sunshine and Odyssey tracks join the Free Roam rollout
The strongest confirmed addition is on Nintendo Music. According to My Nintendo News, Nintendo has added a new batch of Mario Kart World Free Roam tracks featuring remixes from Super Mario Sunshine on GameCube and Super Mario Odyssey on Switch. The Super Mario Sunshine Mario Kart World additions total four tracks, while the Super Mario Odyssey Mario Kart World batch adds ten.
The same report says Nintendo has been releasing more Mario Kart World tracks on Nintendo Music on a weekly basis, and that this update arrived a little earlier than usual because International Mountain Day is being observed in Japan on Aug. 11, which My Nintendo News identifies as the usual update day. That matters for listeners trying to follow the cadence: this was still presented as part of the ongoing weekly rollout, rather than a one-off drop.
Mario Kart World’s Nintendo Music page on Super Mario Wiki lists the digital soundtrack as having launched on June 1, 2026, with 302 tracks and a total listed length of 12:07:22. The same public listing notes that Free Roam tracks were planned to be added through updates. The practical read is straightforward: the soundtrack is large already, but the Free Roam portion is being completed in stages.
Nintendo Music access is broader than the console, but still gated
For players who want the music without booting the game, the access route is clear from the current reporting. What is still missing from the Mario Kart World soundtrack
The rollout is not finished. My Nintendo News reports that, after the Sunshine and Odyssey additions, remaining Free Roam tracks are still expected from Super Mario 3D Land, Super Mario 3D World, Bowser’s Fury, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe before the soundtrack is complete. Those lists are broadly aligned, although they phrase the Bowser’s Fury material differently. Uniqlo’s Mario Kart World shirts reach Europe, with North America waiting

Nintendo Life reports that Uniqlo’s Mario Kart World collection, first revealed earlier in the summer for Japan, has arrived in Europe and is coming to North America “soon.” The same report points readers to Uniqlo’s UK collection page and says the adult range includes four T-shirt options in men’s XS to 3XL.
Nintendo Life lists the adult shirts at £19.90 / $29.90, while also noting that the children’s range has more designs and includes hoodies. Because the article says North America is still listed as coming “soon,” buyers there should treat the dollar price as reported pricing information rather than proof that the North American storefront is live at the time of that report.
The collection sits inside Uniqlo’s wider UT graphic tee business. Nintendo Life notes that the Japanese clothing brand has previously collaborated with Nintendo franchises including Zelda, Splatoon, and Pokémon, and that Pokémon, Mario Galaxy Movie, and Minecraft-themed pieces were also still available from the clothing brand. Music tied to Free Roam can serve as connective tissue between destinations, much like a good racing line links corners. When the arrangements pull from Sunshine, Odyssey, Yoshi’s Island, Luigi’s Mansion, and other Nintendo games, they reinforce the feeling that Mario Kart World is a platform for roaming through Nintendo memory as much as a competitive kart racer.
The Uniqlo collection does a different job. Apparel does not change online balance, vehicle behavior, frame pacing, or matchmaking, but it keeps the game visible in everyday spaces.
