Version 7.1 livestream codes are the urgent ones this month

The newest concrete update for Genshin Impact codes September 2026 is the arrival of three Version 7.1 livestream codes, each carrying 100 Primogems. PCGamesN and Pocket Tactics both reported on September 12, 2026 that they had added the 7.1 livestream codes to their active lists, while Eurogamer notes that livestream codes usually have a 48-hour redemption window and a limited number of claims.

Those three codes are Rekviem for 100 Primogems and 10 Mystic Enhancement Ore, Vesna0923 for 100 Primogems and five Hero’s Wit, and PrimaDonna for 100 Primogems and 50,000 Mora. Taken together, they are worth 300 Primogems before counting the extra upgrade materials. Eurogamer gives a specific expiry warning for this set, saying players had until 5am UK time, 6am in Europe, or midnight on the US East Coast on Wednesday, September 16 to redeem them. For US West Coast players, Eurogamer lists the cutoff as 9pm on Tuesday, September 15.

That timing is the pressure point. Regular Genshin codes can linger, vanish, or return in uneven ways, but livestream codes are designed as short-window rewards around HoYoverse’s special programs. If you only redeem a few codes today, redeem those three first.

The active Genshin codes reported on September 12

For the wider September list, the most current overlap comes from PCGamesN and Pocket Tactics, both of which list the same five non-livestream codes after their September 12 updates. The active Genshin codes they report are Y1INABQB6DEX, which grants 60 Primogems and five Adventurer’s Experience; YOAL3V36XHS7, which grants 10,000 Mora, 10 Adventurer’s Experience, five Fine Enhancement Ore, five Jueyun Chili Chicken, and five Stir-Fried Fish Noodles; BALLETCOLLAB, which grants 30 Primogems, 10,000 Mora, three Hero’s Wit, and three Mystic Enhancement Ore; 2BJ64QRZ7RT8, which grants 60 Primogems and five Adventurer’s Experience; and GENSHINGIFT, which grants 50 Primogems and three Hero’s Wit under limited account conditions.

If all of those work for your account, the non-livestream haul includes 200 Primogems from Y1INABQB6DEX, BALLETCOLLAB, 2BJ64QRZ7RT8, and GENSHINGIFT, plus Mora, character experience, weapon enhancement ore, and food. Add the three 7.1 livestream codes and the September 12 PCGamesN and Pocket Tactics lists point to as much as 500 Primogems currently worth trying.

There is one practical catch with GENSHINGIFT. PCGamesN describes it as for new players only, while Pocket Tactics says it works periodically. Eurogamer adds that if GENSHINGIFT fails, you may have redeemed it already because it is one of the oldest free codes in the game, and suggests trying again in a later month or after a new update if you are sure you have not claimed it. In other words, treat GENSHINGIFT as a nice bonus rather than a guaranteed 50 Primogems.

Conflicting lists make expiry checks part of the job

Code guides are useful, but September’s lists also show why players should redeem first and argue with the error message later. PCGamesN and Pocket Tactics agree on the newest September 12 list, but older and less recently updated pages disagree on several codes.

Eurogamer’s September 6 list still includes DUGODWKRHAKDNJ for 30 Primogems, 10,000 Mora, three Hero’s Wit, and three Mystic Enhancement Ore. MMO Culture’s September page also lists DUGODWKRHAKDNJ as active. Pocket Tactics, however, places DUGODWKRHAKDNJ in its expired section in its September 12 update. The same pattern appears around LEGEDILJKSGM and UIVI13C8X156: MMO Culture lists them among active redeem codes, while Pocket Tactics marks them expired.

That conflict does not prove one outlet is wrong in a permanent sense. Genshin Impact redeem codes can have regional limits, usage limits, account restrictions, or expiry changes, and MMO Culture itself warns that some codes expire quickly or have limited redemption availability. For readers, the safest interpretation is simple: the September 12 overlap from PCGamesN and Pocket Tactics should be your core list, while disputed codes such as DUGODWKRHAKDNJ, LEGEDILJKSGM, UIVI13C8X156, UIVIBUQM6Q8A, CODENAMEK, and YuanShen are worth trying only after the fresher codes are claimed.

MMO Culture flags CODENAMEK and YuanShen as likely to work only in Asian countries, so players outside those regions should expect possible failure. That kind of regional uncertainty is normal for promo-code housekeeping, but it matters when you are trying to squeeze every Primogem out of a patch window.

Fastest redemption path on mobile, PC, and console

The fastest route for most players is the official web redemption page, provided your account is eligible. PCGamesN says players must create a character, reach Adventure Rank 10, visit the Genshin Impact redemption page while logged in with the linked account, paste the code, and then collect the rewards through in-game mail. MMO Culture gives the same core requirements and adds that players should select the server region, enter the character name, and look for a “Redemption Successful” message before returning to the mailbox.

For mobile and PC players, that web route is usually the cleanest because copying and pasting the codes is faster than typing mixed-case strings in-game. For console players, it can also be the quicker route if the console account is properly linked to a HoYoverse account. If you prefer to stay inside the game, Pocket Tactics describes the in-game path: launch Genshin Impact, open the menu, go to settings through the cog icon, open the Account tab, choose the redeem code option, enter the code, hit exchange, and then claim the rewards from the mailbox.

The Adventure Rank 10 requirement is the gate that catches new accounts. If you have just started, you cannot shortcut that with the code itself. Hit AR10 first, then redeem. Also make sure you choose the correct server on the web page, because rewards are tied to the character and mailbox on that server.

What to redeem first if you only have a few minutes

If you are logging in between tasks, prioritize by expiry risk rather than reward flavor. The 7.1 livestream codes should come first: Rekviem, Vesna0923, and PrimaDonna. Eurogamer’s listed deadline makes those the most perishable rewards on the board, and together they are the largest single Primogem chunk currently reported.

After that, redeem Y1INABQB6DEX and 2BJ64QRZ7RT8 for 60 Primogems each, then BALLETCOLLAB for 30 Primogems and materials. GENSHINGIFT is worth entering, especially on a newer account, but do not be surprised if it fails on a veteran profile. YOAL3V36XHS7 does not carry Primogems in the PCGamesN and Pocket Tactics listings, but it still offers Mora, experience, ore, and cooked food, all of which are useful during routine leveling and exploration.

Once those are done, you can test the disputed codes from older lists if you want to be thorough. Expect some failures. A failed code costs only a few seconds, but leaving the livestream set until later can cost 300 Primogems.

The small print behind free Primogems

HoYoverse codes are small rewards by design, but their timing makes them valuable. PCGamesN notes that codes often appear in HoYoverse special programs, during milestones, or alongside Genshin Impact events. Pocket Tactics similarly describes HoYoverse as routinely providing freebies during livestreams. That cadence means code checking is part of the live-service rhythm: patches create attention, livestreams create urgency, and short redemption windows pull players back into the account ecosystem.

The rewards are also deliberately practical. Primogems feed wishes, while Mora, Hero’s Wit, Adventurer’s Experience, and Enhancement Ore soften the resource grind around characters and weapons. Food rewards like Jueyun Chili Chicken and Stir-Fried Fish Noodles are smaller, but they still fit Genshin’s texture as an exploration RPG where preparation and little stat nudges can carry a messy encounter.

For September 2026, the smart play is to treat every active list as time-sensitive. PCGamesN says most codes only work for a limited time and recommends redeeming them as soon as possible. Eurogamer says working codes often disappear without warning. MMO Culture adds that some can be limited by redemption availability, region, or expiry date. The shared message is consistent: if you see free Primogems, claim them before you start planning how to spend them.
