The early Oldest House bottleneck is three locks wearing different masks

Control Resonant’s first real pace check is not one door, but a cluster of early obstacles that all ask the same question in different ways: did you read the room, or did you sprint past the clue? According to PCGamesN’s September 22 guide coverage, the Central Factory entrance, Langston’s Panopticon Service Request, and the West Incursion Zone Parking Garage key all sit in that early stretch where progression depends on small environmental tells rather than a waypoint doing all the work.

This guide keeps the story beats light. The short version is that the Control Resonant Central Factory gate opens by carrying an electrical charge from the front of the building to a switch on its right side; the Control Resonant Panopticon service request hinges on repairing a terminal, correcting a mislabeled cell, and moving a radio only when the proper broadcast is playing; and the Control Resonant Parking Garage key is inside the laundromat on the far side of the garage building.

KeenGamer’s walkthrough overview frames these moments inside Control Resonant’s broader quest structure: the campaign is split across Contain the Crisis, Search for Jesse, and Defeating Resonants, with regional Resonant quests serving as major progression targets. That structure matters because these early locks are not throwaway errands. They teach the game’s language: power routing, spatial misdirection, hostile terrain, and altered objects that obey rules only after you slow down enough to notice them.

How to get into Central Factory in Control Resonant

To open the Central Factory, approach the building from the front, where PCGamesN identifies a tower of six electrical boxes near the vertical pipes. The factory has multiple exterior doors, but the usable entrance is not at the most obvious front-facing point. PCGamesN reports that the correct door is at street level on the right side of the factory, assuming you are facing the building from the front where the vertical pipes are visible.

The rhythm here is simple but tight. Strike one of the electrical boxes at the front to charge your Aberrant weapon, then sprint around to the right side of the factory. There is an electrical switch on the wall there. Hit that switch while your weapon is charged, and the door beside it opens.

The hazard is that the route is built like a small chase scene. PCGamesN warns that getting too close to the pipes around the building can kill you, and Hiss are roaming the streets while you try to carry the charge. Treat the run like a timed combat lane rather than a sightseeing lap. Charge the weapon, commit to the right-side route, keep distance from the pipes, and only fight if an enemy physically blocks the path to the switch.

Once you are inside, the game closes the space behind you and throws a wave of enemies into the factory approach, according to PCGamesN. That is the practical point of no return for this small sequence. Before you hit the switch, make sure you are ready for an indoor fight. The guide source says the path toward completing the quest is straightforward after entry, so the real puzzle is the exterior circuit: front electrical box, right-side switch, street-level door.

Surviving the factory entry without wasting resources

The Central Factory entrance is a good example of Control Resonant using combat pressure to disguise a routing puzzle. The switch is not hidden in a late-game way. The problem is that enemies, pipes, smoke, and the building’s several dead-end doors can make the exterior feel louder than it is. If you are searching “how to get into Central Factory Control Resonant,” the answer is not a missing key or a dialogue flag. It is a charged weapon transfer.

A clean run starts by orienting yourself at the front face of the factory. From there, do not orbit the whole structure looking for a prompt. Hit an electrical box, head right immediately, and watch the wall for the switch. The source material does not specify a long timer, but PCGamesN’s instruction to sprint “as fast as you can” makes the intended pacing clear: the charge is meant to be carried with urgency.

For combat, the safest interpretation is to preserve momentum. You can return fire if the Hiss force a stagger or corner you, but every extra exchange increases the chance that you drift into the pipes or lose the clean line to the switch. Once the door opens, expect the encounter to tighten. The interior enemy wave means players should enter with enough health, ammunition, and ability cooldown breathing room to handle a boxed-in fight before the next major confrontation.

How to complete the Panopticon Service Request for Langston

The Control Resonant Panopticon service request begins with Langston at the Field Panopticon area. PCGamesN says the quest introduction sends you inside the Panopticon to a terminal in a small room on the left, where Langston tells you that some reassembly is needed. GameRant and Sportskeeda also place the quest around the Field Office or Field Panopticon, with Langston serving as the quest giver.

First, repair the terminal with two box-like power components. PCGamesN places one on the floor behind you near the terminal, and the second in the main test room, in the far right corner near a readable note. Loot Level Chill and GameRant describe the same step as replacing battery or power modules, with one close to the terminal and another near the containment cells. Pick them up one at a time and insert them into the terminal or server rack area.

Next comes the dish. PCGamesN says the satellite dish does not attach to the terminal. From the middle of the test room, while looking toward the terminal room, climb onto the glass box to the left and attach the dish to the mount above. Loot Level Chill describes the visual cue as another radar dish with a red flashing light, while GameRant identifies the elevated placement as the metal tower above containment cell E-05. The practical instruction is consistent across the sources: grab the loose dish, look up for the elevated mount with the red light, climb onto the nearby unit, and reattach it before using the security system.

The cell number trick and the radio rule

The Panopticon’s nastiest trick is that the cell label you are given is not the cell Langston needs to open. PCGamesN reports that Langston asks about cell B-02, but the cells have been numbered anticlockwise instead of clockwise. The correct answer to give Langston is D-04. GameRant gives the same dialogue solution, specifying the category as “D” and the number as “04.” Sportskeeda’s available guide text also points to a numbering issue after inspecting B-02.

Once the correct cell opens, the quest shifts from a label puzzle to an altered object puzzle. PCGamesN says the radio will vanish and reappear elsewhere if you simply pick it up and put it down. Langston’s clue is the broadcast: you need to listen for The New York World’s Fair message. The radio can be moved successfully only when that message is playing.

The reliable pickup moment, according to PCGamesN, is when the radio appears on the ground in the central yellow square outside the cell you want to place it in. If it appears anywhere else, wait. Grab it when the World’s Fair broadcast is playing from that central yellow square, then place it into the open containment cell.

There is one labeling wrinkle worth calling out because it can trip up players reading multiple guides. PCGamesN identifies D-04 as the correct cell number to tell Langston and says to place the radio in the opened cell. Loot Level Chill also says to tell Langston D-04, but then describes the final placement as unit E-05. Given the quest’s whole premise is that the labels are misaligned, follow the interaction state rather than the painted label: give Langston D-04, wait for the World’s Fair broadcast in the central yellow square, and put the radio into the cell Langston opens for containment.

Where to find the Parking Garage key in Control Resonant

The Control Resonant Parking Garage key comes up during the push toward the West Incursion Zone Resonant. PCGamesN says that once you reach the West Incursion Zone, you will see a vision of Jesse suggesting a Fault is nearby. After a fight with Hiss in the road, the parking garage is on the left.

Inside the garage, the locked door has the important clue beside it. PCGamesN quotes the note as saying that if the keyholder is not around for shift change, they are either getting gear cleaned at the laundromat or smoking at the back. That is the game telling you to leave the locked door alone for the moment and search the surrounding block.

Exit the garage and follow the large garage building around to the left, toward the opposite side from the garage entrance. PCGamesN identifies the destination as the Wear ’Em Wash ’Em Laundromat. The front door opens from the other side, so do not treat it as your entry point. Instead, go to the alleyway to the right of the laundromat, float over the red gloop, avoid the laser, and enter through the door into the laundromat.

The key is inside, on a floating body, according to PCGamesN. Pick it up, return to the original locked door in the parking garage, and use the key to continue toward the next major encounter. As with the factory route, the game is less interested in hiding the destination than in testing whether you connect an environmental note to the correct nearby landmark.

Best early-route order if you want a smooth, spoiler-light clear

If you are trying to clear the early Oldest House bottleneck cleanly, treat these three objectives as a tutorial suite for how Control Resonant wants to be read. Central Factory teaches charged object transfer under pressure. Panopticon Service Request teaches that labels, broadcasts, and object states can matter as much as map markers. The Parking Garage key teaches clue-based navigation around a blocked route.

KeenGamer’s campaign overview says Control Resonant tracks three main quest chains and that Search for Jesse unlocks traversal abilities that open new routes, while Defeating Resonants covers the main bosses, one per zone except the Evacuation Zone. That context helps explain why these early tasks feel like gates. They are tied to the game’s larger loop of opening space, changing access, and moving between quest chains rather than clearing isolated rooms.

For a low-friction route, handle Langston’s Panopticon request when you are already in Central near the Field Office, then take the factory entry once you are prepared for an immediate interior fight. When the West Incursion Zone sends you to the garage, read the note at the locked door before roaming. The laundromat clue is the intended lead, not optional flavor.

The spoiler-light checklist is compact: for Central Factory, charge your Aberrant weapon at the front electrical boxes and hit the right-side wall switch; for Panopticon Service Request, install two power boxes and the elevated dish, tell Langston D-04, then move the radio only during the World’s Fair broadcast; for the Parking Garage key, circle left around the garage to the laundromat, enter from the alley, cross the red gloop while avoiding the laser, and loot the key from the floating body.
