A September 2 update, with its biggest systems split across the month

Gryphline has dated Arknights: Endfield’s next content update, Dreamscape of Wind and Snow, for September 2, 2026, according to reports carrying the publisher’s announcement. Gematsu identifies Arknights: Endfield as a free-to-play 3D RPG from publisher Gryphline and developer Mountain Contour, and says the update will launch on that date. DayOne refers to the release as Version 1.5, while other supplied reports describe it more generally as the game’s next version update. The date and content beats line up across the sources, even if the version numbering is not repeated everywhere.

Snowy Forest leads with lore, navigation pressure, and a regional boss

The September 2 portion sends the Endministrator into the Snowy Forest outside Yinglung Pass, where Typhoeus crosses paths with the Endministrator and Chief Engineer Andre. Gryphline’s overview, published by Gematsu and echoed by other outlets, describes the area as supernatural, with enchanted fog that traps travelers in circular routes. As the party moves deeper into the forest, snow visibly accumulates on characters’ bodies and hair before the encounter with a new regional boss, Gloomwald’s Rage.

Typhoeus is the immediate build question for RPG players

Typhoeus is the headline Operator for the September 2 launch window, and her kit gives RPG players the clearest reason to study the Arknights Endfield update before broader previews or Steam-facing promotion increase attention around the game. Gryphline describes her as an easygoing icefield huntress from Rhodes Island with an intense curiosity about Sami legends, tying her arrival to both original Arknights continuity and the Snowy Forest’s mythic framing.

Suiming may be the update’s most interesting progression test

The second major wave opens on September 24, when Suiming becomes available. Gryphline describes Suiming as a puzzle-exploration map built around the development team’s idea of turning an entire city into a puzzle. The key rule is a repeating 15-minute time loop. As tides rise and fall, routes through the city change, exposing streets and paths that were previously inaccessible. Players search for parts needed to repair the Waking Bell before the Blight Tide arrives.

Purrchena is free, but the event has a completion ask

Also on September 24, Gryphline will begin the Purrchena Tribute Event, which lets players recruit Purrchena for free. She is described as a Physical Defender and Brand Ambassador for the Ætherside Syndrome Relief Foundation. In combat, her role is team protection and support: she shields nearby allies and delivers gift boxes that can heal teammates or trigger support effects.

Music is part of the setting pitch, with Vilma Jää contributing

Dreamscape of Wind and Snow also extends Endfield’s worldbuilding through music. Gryphline says the Snowy Forest score draws on Sámi musical culture while reimagining Nordic traditions through JRPG music, fantasy tones, and electronic production. For this update, the team worked with Finnish electronic musician Vilma Jää, whom the announcement identifies through her work on CONTROL Resonant, to create a Nordic folk-electronic theme for the Snowy Forest.

Steam wishlisting is live, but key practical details remain unannounced

Gryphline has also confirmed that Arknights: Endfield is coming to Steam soon, with wishlisting available now through the game’s Steam page. That makes Dreamscape of Wind and Snow a useful checkpoint for RPG fans who are waiting to judge Endfield by its systems rather than by branding alone. The September update shows a ranged Nature damage dealer, a supernatural exploration zone, a regional boss, a persistent time-loop puzzle city, a free defensive support Operator, and additional activities including Trial of the Bow, Chubby Lung Attacks, Runners’ Steeplechase, new Echoes of War seasons, and player-experience updates.
